WELCOME TO THE OCTOBER 2021 EDITION OF THE BOOTSTRAPS NEWSLETTER.
HERE WE DISCUSS EVERYTHING GOING ON, UPCOMING EVENTS, WELCOMING NEW MEMBERS AND CELEBRATING OUR LOVE AND PASSION FOR EVERYTHING LEATHER!
FROM THE CEO:
Hello to all our loyal readers and I hope this finds you all safe and well. Another month down and another successful month for BOOTSTRAPS. We've had plenty of participants through our doors and a lot of nice projects started and completed.
I would like to take this time to make a special mention good people of the Placid Hills 2021 Halloween Spooktacular. These lovely people decorated their house and invited people to visit and view. They were collecting a gold coin donation and have decided that all funds raised over the three nights will go to BOOTSTRAPS. What a fantastic gesture and we send them a huge thank you for their support.
I would also like to say a big thank you to the good people at Porters Plainland Restaurant. This month alone has seen us make almost $1000 in raffle ticket sales conducted at their lovely location. As this is one of the very few income streams we currently have, we are very grateful for their help. Without this money, we would not be able to continue to operate. To Mell, Mick and all the staff at Porters, THANKS SO MUCH!!!!!
We will be holding an open day early next year held over a Friday and Saturday to showcase BOOTSTRAPS and what we offer. The Friday will be for businesses within our Allied Health network, with the Saturday being for families. We will provide more information closer to the time.
Not that it is needed, but a reminder that Christmas is coming. If you would like to make a one-of-a-kind customer present for a loved one, now is the time to come into the centre to do it. Bring your family and make a simple Christmas tree decoration, or something more elaborate. We would love you to visit and enjoy leather work.
